 Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz


Profile
He was born in Holy Roman Empire (Dissolved, due to Napoleon) and during his sixth year on earth, his father unfortunately died and his mother took care of him.


Contributions
He developed the infinitesimal calculus independently of Isaac Newton, is on of the most prolific inventors in the field of mechanical calculators. He also was the first to describe a pinwheel calculator in 1685 and refine the binary number system



Daniel Bernoulli

Profile
Born into a family of mathematicians, Daniel Bernoulli grew up to want to become a mathematician. At that time, being a mathematician had poor rewards so he was in the end persuaded to learn other subjects but only at the condition his father would teach him mathematics secretly.

Contributions
He is known for his applications of mathematics to mechanics like fluid mechanics and his work in probability and statistics


Leonhard Euler 

Profile
Leonhard Euler is a swiss mathematician whom spent most of his grown up life in Russia and Prussia (which is now mostly germany)

Contributions
He is renown for his work on mechanics, optics, astronomy, fluid dynamics, many mathematical terminology and notations and finally mathematical analysis.
