HIPPOCRATES (GROUP 3)

TASK 1
===========================================================

tan(60º)=(120/y)          tan(30º)=(120/x)

y=(120/tan(60º))

Distance between 2 people
     =(120/tan(30º))  -  (120/tan(60º))
     =138.564(6sf)
     =138.6(1dp)

Assumptions:

-Height of man is negligible(Of no height)
-Same eye level
-Building is 90º to the ground
-Ground is flat(Both people is on the same level(horizontally))
-Both are in the same medium

TASK 2
===========================================================

Explanation on Sine Rule

Explanation on Cosine rule

TASK 3
===========================================================
Kashyap, Bowen and Jerome

Hao Xian and Darryl

  1. Assumptions are valid besides Height of man is negligible point is arguable.

    Working is rather clear but the diagram should be labelled for easier reference. Other than that everything else is good.

  2. Good assumptions. all the assumptions made are valid and relevant to the question.

    Working is well done and clear enough to understand.

  3. Assumptions are alright and relevant to the question and situation. Working is not difficult to understand.

  4. Assumptions are fairly comprehensive, although realistically, each man's height cannot be negligible. All assumptions are relevant, though.

    I found the working clear and concise.

  5. Good to consider other cases and eventually decide on the best possible solution.
    like the idea of viewing from the same medium for consistency.
